State Managers and Supervisors haven’t had a salary raise in 6 years ... and now DPA has once again reneged on the promise of a 5% raise for members of the "State’s Management Team".

  

Members told lawmakers that 6 years without a raise is just too long, and asked them to support AB 1186.

  

With little fanfare, trustees of the California Public Employees' Retirement System voted Thursday to oppose a revamped plan to overhaul public pensions across the state.

  

Making his annual appearance in front of the Sacramento Press Club yesterday, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger pushed for massive infrastructure reforms while emphasizing that he is continuing his fight for some of the reforms he proposed last year, including revamping the state's pension system.

  

The Legislative Analyst reports that reduced funding and increased costs -- to the tune of $3.1 billion -- would result if Congress passes the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005. Even worse, Governor Schwarzenegger's proposed budget "does not recognize these potential impacts".
