Q. Have funds been appropriated in the budget for the Excluded Pay Package?
A. Yes!
Q. Does ACSS know the details of the Package and who will get what?
A. No.
Q. Has ACSS informed the Department of Personnel Administration (DPA) about the needs of Excluded Employees?
A. Yes!
Q. What kinds of things has ACSS demanded?
A. Here are a few of them:
1) That Excluded Employees should receive everything the rank and file employees receive and more!
2) That DPA has to fix the compaction problems.
3) That DPA has to adjust salaries appropriately to retain its current staff and to encourage others to promote.
4) That DPA has created too many classification/salary alignment problems over the past 20+ years by not including the supervisors, managers and confidential employees in their inequity adjustments during rank and file bargaining.
5) That DPA must rectify these inequity problems.
6) That the Administration needs to recognize all excluded employees as the "State's Management Team."
7) The "process" for determining salaries and benefits for excluded employees is broken and needs to be fixed!
Q. When will ACSS release the details of the Package?
A. As soon as we have them.
Q. In the meantime, what can we do?
A. Hang tough! Spread the word and encourage your coworkers to join ACSS if they aren't already members!
