ACSS conducted a meet and confer on April 11, 2008, to discuss the closure of the Correctional Training Center Annex, DeWitt Nelson Youth Correctional Facility and the El Paso de Robles Youth Correctional Facility.

The ACSS Executive Board and staff conducted its first meet and confer of 2008 with the Department of Personnel Administration (DPA) on Friday, January 25, 2008.

In its usual manner, the ACSS Executive Officers and staff were prepared to meet and confer with DPA on issues involving salaries, benefits and improved working conditions for its members.

The September 2007 meet and confer between the Association of California State Supervisors and DPA was held the first Friday of the month and started out with a power point presentation by DPA explaining their Human Resources Modernization Project. For information on this, go to DPA’s website.
