Pay Letter 08-11, which addressed the Coleman equity adjustments for the Program Directors (PD) and Program Assistants (PA) who work in DDS, DMH and DVA facilities, was issued with an incorrect salary for the Program Directors. The minimum salary rate for the PD was incorrectly listed at $5494, which resulted in an error in the placement of employees at the appropriate steps. The accurate salary range for the Program Directors is $6411 - $7587.

The State Controller’s Office has made the corrections and employees should see the salary adjustments in their next pay warrants.

The retroactive checks (back to July 1, 2007) for PDs and PAs are being processed separately and will be mailed out as soon as they are keyed into the system.

ACSS is pleased to announce that after 8 long months, the Coleman Equity Adjustment Pay Letter (08-11) has been finalized and is official!

This Pay Letter provides the documentation which authorizes the release of funds for the equity adjustments resulting from the Coleman lawsuit. Employees in the classifications of Program Director (class codes: 8103, 8262, 8268, 8269) and Program Assistant (class codes: 8102, 8251, 8266, 8267) who work for either DDS, DMH or DVA, will finally have their salaries adjusted and should see the increases in their next paycheck. We anticipate the back pay (retroactivity to July 1, 2007) will most likely be paid in a separate check. Once we have the details on the retroactivity, we will post this on our web page.
