The deadline for eligible excluded employees to apply to receive a voluntary separation transition package from SCIF has been extended to Monday, December 19th.
Employees that apply after Monday, December 19th will be considered ineligble for the transition package.
If you have any questions that are unanswered in the above document, please contact SCIF or your ACSS Senior Labor Relations Representative Nellie D. Lynn at nlynn@calcsea.org
Additionally, SCIF released the following statement regarding unemployment insurance:
Many employees considering the transition package are also counting on filing for unemployment insurance. We have received updated information from the Employment Development Department (EDD) regarding State Fund's Reduction-in-Force transition package. Please read the story on Worksite that includes a link to Questions and Answers from EDD about filing for Unemployment Insurance, especially question number 7. If you take a voluntary pre-layoff transition package, you may not qualify for unemployment insurance. You would need to participate in an eligibility interview and eligibility is decided on a case-by-case basis.
If you have already submitted a Reduction-in-Force Transition Package Request and would like to rescind it, send an email by Monday, December 19 to Corinne P. Young with the subject line of "Rescinding RIF Transition Packet Request" and include copies to both your Supervisor and Timekeeper.
