If you’re one of the excluded employees impacted by the statewide realignment of Corrections resulting from AB-109, you may have already heard the term “voluntary transfer”.
Thanks to a Meet and Confer between your ACSS, DPA Director Ron Yank, and CDCR, impacted excluded employees who meet certain qualifications are now eligible for voluntary transfer.
CDCR has produced a video explaining the voluntary transfer process in greater detail.
There are additional materials available at CDCR’s “Layoff Resources” page that may help you through your transition: http://www.cdcr.ca.gov/layoffresources/Transfer-Opportunities.html
Should you encounter any difficulties in communicating with CDCR, or if any questions arise that you are not comfortable addressing to CDCR, please feel free to contact ACSS Senior Labor Relations Representative Nellie D. Lynn at nlynn@calcsea.org
