Assemblywoman Connie Conway of Tulare has been unanimously elected leader of the Assembly Republican Caucus, replacing Martin Garrick, who stepped down. Speaker John Perez, a Los Angeles Democrat, was unanimously re-elected to his post. His second term begins Dec. 6 when the new Assembly is sworn in.
