Re: Report on ACSS' meet and confer with DPA

State employees have always been held in limbo during the lack of a budget. My personal belief on the past 2 year budget fiascos is if negotiations don't follow the path of the the other six bargaining units that have "already accepted" pension and reform we will be hurting more than we did on the furloughs.

Why even meet with them?

A five year contract at this point can only be a bad deal. Five year contacts are for good times.

Re: Report on ACSS' meet and confer with DPA

I am glad that ACSS is not a bargaining unit. It concerns me that someone would agree to give a permanent 5% additional pay to Calpers, when no one has addressed the 15% cut to contributions to Calpers that the furloughs have caused. Because of Arnold's illegal job actions, we are now forced to increase our retirement contributions? I say, "Just say no".
