Some state workers might like having furlough Fridays off and would continue them if they could, The State Worker column reports today.

For the 3 years before the furlough started I was on a reduced time base of 90%. It was great having every other Friday off. As an Exempt Employee I was not allowed to work a 9/80. it took 6 months for my agency to restore me to a 100% time base after the furloughs started.
