CalPERS members' long-term care premiums are increasing this month. CalPERS, sensitive to the economic hard times for state workers, is offering options that will allow the members who want to save money to customize their plan, including decreasing benefit levels and reducing the benefit period . If you have questions about the increase, or to discuss the options, call a special toll-free number 888-877-4934 during working hours.

Re: CalPERS long-term care premium will increase

At the rate this is increasing each year - I won't be able to afford to keep it too many more years. I'm still working, but only for another couple of years..

Is this plan in financial trouble like the PERS retirement system? Will it be around in 10 or 15 years?
